Academic License

Academic Licenses allow students and faculty to use FEEA SDK™ 2010 for "Academic Purposes"  only. Academic users are entitled to a FEEA SDK™ 2010 annual subscription license for a symbolic price. The Academic License for FEEA SDK™ 2010 has all the features and performance of the full license. Note that an Academic License has no limits on model size.

Eligibility

Only state-licensed academic institutions can purchase FEEA SDK 2010 Academic Licenses. Other organizations (including non-profit organizations) must purchase the regular FEEA SDK 2010 license.

Purchasing Procedure

We must receive a request from an authorized representative of the Academic Institution. We provide our Information Request Form for Academic Institutions  for this purpose. If the academic activity of the representative is obvious from the results of internet search engines, then no additional letter is necessary. Otherwise, the representative should send us an official letter of request (original or fax).

The representative must be a full-time employee of the Academic Institution. Students and part-time staff are explicitly not authorized to request Academic Licenses.

Academic Purposes

By purchasing an Academic License, you agree that FEEA SDK 2010 software will be used for "Academic Purposes" only, such as: academic training and research programs or as educational material by qualified educational institutions, including the students and faculty thereof, specifically excluding:

  • Development of a system to be used for commercial gain, whether to be sold or to be used within a company, partnership, organization or entity that transacts commercial business;
  • The use of FEEA SDK 2010 in a commercial business for any reason other than exploratory development and "proof of concept" prototyping, even if FEEA SDK 2010 is not incorporated into an application or product to be sold;
  • The use of FEEA SDK 2010 to enable the use of another application that was developed with FEEA SDK 2010, inclusion of FEEA SDK 2010 in a collection of software, whether or not that collection is sold, given away, or made part of a larger collection, inclusion of FEEA SDK 2010 in another product, whether or not that other product is sold, given away, or made part of a larger product.

The Academic License expires twelve (12) months after the date on which your license was generated, but eligible faculty can renew a license by repeating this process.
