FEApad™ 2010 - Quick and easy!

Anaxsoft FEApad™ 2010 is a powerful, comprehensive, and easy-to-use structural analysis application, that runs on Windows platforms (x86/x64). It comes with a user-friendly environment and a practical built-in CAD viewer. It provides a fully parametric approach to analyze complex structural systems, using finite elements, with minimum effort.

It is fueled by our powerful engine, FEEA™ SDK, and, hence, it incorporates algorithms from Linear Algebra, Numerical Methods, and Finite Element Procedures. Using only a small set of commands, and without requiring any programming skills, you can edit your model, solve it, and visualize it.

Who should use FEApad 2010?

It is a simple and flexible tool, and the perfect choice for many different groups:

  • Educational institutions and students
  • Researchers
  • Professional engineers

Though it is designed with academics and students in mind, it can be used by professional engineers as well, because it is a full-blown version of its own: it does not come as a student edition; it just comes at a student price that defies all logic!

Comparison with student editions of commercial software and symbolic mathematical interpreters

Researchers, as well as academics and students, are typically interested in results, and not in programming. They do want flexibility, and a quick and easy way to express their ideas, and achieve the desired results. However, the high cost of commercial software, often forces them to resort to the following solutions: either purchace the student edition of a commercial software, with limited capabilities, or purchase a symbolic mathematical interpreter, like scilab.

Purchasing the student edition of a commercial software, means that they will not be able to solve but very small models, usually up to 300-1000 nodes, since student editions allow the use of only a limited number of nodes, elements, etc.

On the other hand, a symbolic interpreter, has, by its nature, poor performance. Hence, in practice, it also allows the use of small models, and its use implies a significant learning curve and some sort of programming skills.

This is where Anaxsoft FEApad™ 2010 comes into play. It combines the best of both worlds.

FEApad provides similar capabilities like commercial software: it uses finite elements to analyze complex structural systems. However, unlike the student editions of commercial software, FEApad does not impose any restrictions, regarding the size of the models.

Like symbolic interpreters, it provides a small set of commands easy to use. However, unlike symbolic interpreters, FEApad is a high-performance compiled code, dedicated to perform advanced finite element analysis. Hence, it allows you, to solve large models, involving 100K or more degrees of freedom. Moreover, you always have a 3D representation of the model with our built-in CAD viewer. And all of these, without having to resort to complex user interfaces, or programming.
